A little
about me.

My name is Demilade Bickersteth. Most people call me Demi.

I’m a minister of the gospel and Bible teacher. I enjoy reading a lot, and I enjoy conversations with people, even when we are just talking for fun.

Faith is part of my everyday life.

I discovered my call as a student at Covenant University. I gave myself to prayer, fasting, studying Scripture and serving because I wanted to know God and follow Him.

Over time, I had to learn how that devotion related to the rest of my life: school, work, money, relationships and the way I used my time. Seeking God still matters deeply to me. So do wisdom, diligence and taking responsibility.

I serve at The Evolve Generation Assembly, a community of young believers growing in Christ, in faith and in purpose. It is a place where people walking through seasons of transition learn that they are not alone.

I read, learn and talk things through.

I spend a lot of time reading. Scripture, leadership and practical wisdom are recurring interests, and I enjoy taking an idea seriously enough to think about what it means in ordinary life.

Conversation is part of that for me. I like hearing how other people see things, asking questions and talking through what we are learning. But I also just enjoy people. A conversation does not always need an agenda.

I also work in technology, alongside ministry, writing and teaching.

Better decisions make better people, and better people become better leaders in every field.

I care about how we live.

I want people to live the best life possible.

Leadership has taught me to pay attention to people, as well as the work. I’ve had to learn patience, communication and care, and I’m still learning. I want the things I teach to show up in the way I treat people.

Some of this found its way into a book.

Money and Ministry came out of questions I had about faith, provision and the responsibilities that sit alongside the call. It is one expression of the things I care about and the conversations I keep having.
